The website is mostly a vehicle to keep family and friends informed. But others learning about the trip and considering the fundraiser are wanting to know my background.

All Minnesotan: Born in Minneapolis, raised in Hutchinson, educated in Saint Paul. Went to Saint Thomas for philosophy and music and the U of MN for a masters in nonprofit management. Now I administer community development grants to local governments in the Twin Cities.

Don’t have much experience with grand expeditions outside a few hikes in the mountains. And the BWCA, of course. But I love the outdoors and the Northwoods.
